Best camera to buy for high fps/good quality

I'm looking to buy a camera soon for up to about £5-600. The only things I wil really need are high frame rates and good quality.I'm not allied to any one company so not an issue. Also any info about lenses will be great.I've looked at a few and stuff like digital vs slr, and am just at a loss as to which way best to go.
