After years of producing, directing, etc.. for other companies I am trying to start my own production company. It's definitely not an easy thing to get off the ground. I have a website and plenty of great looking content on it but I'm at a bit of a loss as to where all I can go to advertise my business and places I can network with the right people.Obviously, I have joined a number of relevant facebook groups and post ads on craigslist, but I know there is so much more I can do to find new clients. For those who have started their own video production companies, how did you go about getting new clients?Did you make cold calls to businesses?Did you join any specific organizations to network with businesses?Would love to hear some advice.
